Monterey Community Connections
October Newsletter
Fall is in the air!
When you RSVP if you would please come to the event! We had a lot of no shows at our last field trip. We do a lot of preparations behind the scenes and even when its a free event your students' numbers play a big part in how many teachers come to help, hired staff at the places we visit, free supplies organized ahead of time, etc. If you cannot come last minute please let me know via email, text, or phone call. Or update your RSVP on Inspiration Station.

Middle School/ High School Event
KSBW News Station Tour
We will tour the news room and see the production of the noon news as it happens. This is a 6th grade through 12th grade tour ONLY. Due to the nature of the tour and the watching of the noon news you have to agree to your student viewing whatever might be presented that day. We want the tour to be more complex technically to interest older students. Anyone wanting to continue the conversation after the tour is invited to meet at Starbucks across the street. We hope this will foster friendships within the middle school and high school ages here within Inspire.
MEETING INSTRUCTIONS
Please meet in the waiting room of the news station no earlier than 11:30 am. All adult chaperones and siblings will be asked to wait in the waiting room until the conclusion of the tour. The tour can only allow a very small number and we wanted to maximize that with student access. Two inspire teachers will lead the students throughout the tour.
