FREE week-long summer program for Acadiana-area high-schoolers that are interested in geology from June 11-16

Plaisance School 4H Students attended the Achievement Day Held at O.H.S!
PORT BARRE ELEMENTARY
Port Barre High School Sr. Beta Club students were recognized at the school board meeting for placing 3rd in the Living Literature Competition and will be advancing to the National Beta Club Competition in Savannah, GA next month! Congrats!!
SOUTHWEST ELEMENTARY

SUNSET MIDDLE SCHOOL
5th-grade students at Sunset Middle School were treated to a pizza party sponsored by Mary Helen Donatto, School Board Member. The students were rewarded because of their outstanding behavior during the Leap Test.
Sunset Middle School Beta Club raised funds for a great cause by participating in the Change for Miles Penny Drive. The Miles Perret Cancer Services (MPCS) helps Acadiana residents fighting, surviving, and living with cancer.
DISTRICT
Congratulations to SLP's newest Leader in Me Schools beginning in the 2018-19 school year - Palmetto Elementary, Eunice Elementary, Port Barre Elementary, and Southwest Elementary. These schools are joining the following current Leader in Me schools- North Elementary, Lawetell, Elementary, Highland Elementary, and Grolee Elementary!!
Leonville Elementary and Port Barre Middle Beta students were recognized at school board meeting for placing in the Beta Arts Competitions. Impressive work!! Congrats!
