What We're Learning in Challenge

3/4 Grade

Whew! It's been a busy time for us. We've been working hard with our cereal box book reports and now we're starting to enjoy the commercials. I cannot thank you enough for offering your support to your child with these interesting projects. Once again, I'm completely blown away by the students' creativity on these.

In addition to partaking of some outstanding cereal box book report commercials, we've also been knee-deep in some in-class research about public figures who've exemplified the character trait of compassion. Ask your child how we're practicing the LifeSkill of organization by keeping our research at our fingertips.

Columbus Day was the perfect time for us to delve into multiple perspectives in our readings. Ask your child about Jane Yolen's Encounter and some of the symbolism embedded in this beautifully-written story.
