Intervention/Regular Combo Schedule Week

Please pay close attention to these three days because they are different than normal.

Wednesday:


  • Intervention schedule for 9 - 11th graders
  • Senior meeting in the gym at 7:30


Thursday:


  • Intervention schedule for 9 - 11th graders
  • Senior breakfast for football, band, cheer, dance, volleyball players, cross country & swim.


Friday:


  • Regular Schedule and Veterans day program
  • Students wear uniform or may dress up
  • Seniors are allowed to be here by 7:20 (This is for Friday only.)

Short but busy week!

We have a short week, but it is packed with information and activities. I hope our students and teachers get the rest they need Monday and Tuesday. Our schools will be closed these days although some of our athletic teams and organizations may have activities.



Our Veterans' Day program will be Friday morning. We are going to ask our students to leave the first line of parking spaces open for our veterans attending the program.


Seniors who don't have a first hour or have a short schedule will be allowed to arrive a few minutes late Friday. We are allowing you a few extra minutes Friday so you can park at the youth park.


Coming a few minutes late will ensure that you can park without having to get in the parent drop off line. Since you leave early, parking will not interfere with afternoon dismissal.

Attention 2023 Graduates:

In 2018, the LA Dept of Education began requiring seniors and graduating juniors to fill out the FAFSA. This is the application for federal financial aid. This can qualify students for grants to use for schooling after graduation. As an added bonus, this application also applies them for TOPS with the state.


Below is a link to a workbook that gives step-by-step instructions on how to complete the FAFSA. Students will need to submit the confirmation to Mrs. Anne once it is completed to show that this graduation requirement has been satisfied. If you have any questions or problems completing this graduation requirement, please contact Mrs. Anne in the counseling department.

Car Raffle

Car Raffle

NVHS is holding it's annual car raffle sponsored by Mendoza Ford. All money collected from our ticket sales remain with us at North Vermilion. Students selling 5 tickets will receive free dress between Thanksgiving and Christmas in addition to being entered into drawings for additional prizes. All students received a form for selling tickets through their first hour classroom. Tickets can also be purchased from the NVHS front office.

Keep our schools safe

Students were given information this past week about an anonymous tip line they can use to report information they feel could impact the safety of our school. We all play an important role in keeping NVHS a safe place to receive a great education. The links to the videos and app can be found in the students grade Google Classrooms.

Students needing help in other subjects should email Mrs. Denise and she will set something up for you with the appropriate teacher.
