Meet the Cheetahs & Beyond~Action Required by ALL Staff to mark your calendars

Meet the Cheetahs & Beyond formerly known as Meet & Greet) will occur on July 7, 2016 for tracks 1, 2, & 3. Track 4 will occur on July 28, 2016. My expectation is all staff is present for these events and the PTA meeting. Times are as follows:

  • PTA General Meeting-5:00-5:30

  • Session 1-5:35-6:20

  • Transition-6:20-6:30

  • Session 2: 6:30-7:15

Mark your Calendars~Action Required by ALL Staff.

The AA (previously OSP) days for 2016-2017 school year have been confirmed by the district. July 7, 2016 is the dates that Central Services staff will schedule updates and collaborative sessions with different groups.

Bus Transportation Procedure Changes~Action Required for ALL staff and all tracks

Beginning, Monday, May 2nd, all dismissal will occur through the T.V.’s ONLY. We do not want students missing the bus. Please make sure you have a procedure in place for students watching the TV’s. The teacher should be calling out the buses to students as a help to students at first. We are protecting this time in the future in order to have meetings, etc without interruptions. Also, this will dismiss ALL students from classrooms quicker. Staff on duty~Be prepared in the hallways to assist students. We are scaffolding independence.

PTA~ACTION REQUIRED FOR TRACK 4 by Friday, May 6th.

The PTA will run a contest for track 4 students only. It will end next Friday, May 6th. Teachers have the opportunity for the class to produce the best Thank you card for the Boosterthon team. The card needs to include kids names and teacher's name. The winner will receive a pizza party.

Kindergarten Orientation

Our orientation for new kindergarten families (2016-2017) will be May 26th at 5:30pm. The session for parents will be held in the cafeteria from 5:30-6:00pm (maybe 6:15pm) followed by a short tour of the building/visiting classrooms. We need your help! Some of the rising kindergarten students will come with their families and we need volunteers to provide childcare in the media center from 5:15pm - approximately 7pm (probably done earlier than this). If you are willing to assist us, please complete the sign-up using the link below. (If you need make-up hours, this will count!) Click on the link HERE to sign up to help!

EOG Training

Mark your calendars. Please note that if you are a teacher you will have to attend the EOG VIDEO and EOG TRAINING sessions. IA's only have one session.

  • Thursday, May 12th EOG TRAINING for 3rd-5th grade Track 1 Teachers, Specialists and Special Ed @ 4:30pm in the Media Center

  • Friday, May 13th IA Training for Tracks 1,3 and 4 @ 9:30am in the Media Center

  • Tuesday, June 7th EOG VIDEO for 3rd-5th grade Tracks 2,3 and 4 Teachers @ 7:45am in the Media Center

  • Thursday, June 9th EOG TRAINING for 3rd-5th grade Tracks 2,3 and 4 Teachers @ 4:30pm in the Media Center

EOG Dates

Our EOG dates have been finalized for the end of the year. I am sending out information to parents with informational dates, etc. We are almost there and this will go to all families. In the meantime, you can share these dates, publicize them on your website, and share with parents how important it is that children are here. It is imperative that staff are here. Mark your calendars now as I expect staff to be present! The testing dates can be found HERE.
