MVLA Magazine
Back to School Edition 2022-2023
Dear MVLA Community,
Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year! We hope the summer provided you with time to spend with friends and family, make new memories, enjoy experiences away from school, and recharge for the new year.
There is much to update you on, and we hope you find this back-to-school newsletter helpful and informative. We appreciate your entrusting the care of your students to us - there is no greater gift - and we look forward to starting the new school year with you!
We offer an especially warm welcome to our new students and freshmen class - welcome to #MVLAHSD!
Sincerely,
Nellie Meyer
MVLAHSD Superintendent
FOUNDATION UPDATE
Welcome to the 2022-23 school year! The MVLA High School Foundation is renewing its commitment to investing in an innovative learning environment that provides the opportunity for all students to grow and thrive. We have committed to granting $2.236 million to the District this year. To learn more about our funded programs and make a donation, please visit MVLAfoundation.org.
This year the MVLA Foundation is excited to celebrate our 40th Anniversary! We’re grateful for our supportive community and look forward to the years ahead. Follow us on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter for fun flashback pics from the ’80s, ’90s, and 2000s!
NEW COMMUNICATIONS PLATFORM
MVLA is transitioning to ParentSquare for District and school communication, primarily with email, text, and app notifications. ParentSquare will combine multiple communication streams into a single easy-to-use interface for families and staff.
