The World of Westwood Wolves
Unleashing the Power of Our Pack- #PackPower!
Westwood's Mission:
February 12, 2023
From the principal's office...
We made it a whole week- yay! I hope you had a good week; I was in Tulsa Wednesday-Friday with seven Westwood teachers learning and growing together. I'm so thankful Mrs. Tompkins does a great job keeping things running when I'm out of the building!
We have Valentines Day parties coming up Tuesday; just as we did for Christmas parties, you are welcome to come by the office between 8:30ish and 2:00ish Monday to get your "fast pass" if you plan to attend parties at 2:15 Tuesday. You can also come by Tuesday morning. You will need your identification for us to run through the system and print your visitor badge. If you aren't able to come ahead of time, be sure and bring in your ID and be prepared for a possible line right before the parties start. You are welcome to take your child home from the party; just make sure and check out with your teacher(s).
We are super excited about our school dance this Friday- come "Get Your Glow On!". This is a family activity, so parents should attend with students (or one parent bring a group of friends). We will have concessions available for sale.
Reminder- no school next Monday, Feb. 20th, for Presidents' Day (teacher learning day).
We hope you have a great week!
Mrs. Crumby

Information shared previously...
Can each class spell Westwood?
When students are late, they miss free breakfast (we always try to ask if they still need breakfast, but sometimes when it's busy in the office, it's hard to make sure). Also, every grade does some reading instruction first thing in the morning, so kids who aren't here on time miss that as well. Many students have a hard time coming in being ready to learn when they are upset or thrown off from being late. Please help us help our Wolves get off to the best start possible each day!
Car rider help...
We appreciate all of you who follow procedures and rules set in place to keep everyone safe and make our car line run smoothly. Thank you!
How do I receive information from Westwood?
PHONE CALLS: We also send out phone calls through an automated system; you will receive these calls if your phone number is correct in Registration Gateway. If your number changes, you can update the information in Registration Gateway, or call the office to update.
SOCIAL MEDIA/WEBSITE: The weekly parent update and other announcements/stories are also posted on our school's Facebook page and website. We are working on activating our school's Instagram account also- we'll let you know when that's up and running.
PAPER NOTES: We also send out paper notes at times; most of these will be sent in folders that come home every Tuesday. Every now and then, we need to send information on other days, so it's a great practice to check the backpacks each afternoon/evening.
We don't want you to miss any information, so we put things out in lots of ways!
Does your child want to use a device at school?
