Shout Outs!
Thank you to Hamilton and Rocke for being the ROCK STARS for our students on the Final Mile run day!
Mr. Sidone, you jumped right in to Lynnhaven like you have lived here for months. Thank you for supporting the teachers and students!
Thank you to Maurizi and Barnard for all you have done to prepare our students for All-City Chorus and Orchestra. They are going to be amazing!
Thank you to the amazing office staff for keeping me together the last few weeks (well...all year) when things have picked up. I appreciate you more than you know! ~Teri
Welcome Baby!
Star Struck!
PBIS Fidelity Check
Here are some GLOWS and GROWS from the Fidelity Check -
GLOWS
- 100% of staff knew the GRRR Code expectations.
- 92% of students knew the GRRR Code expectations.
- BOF clearly defines problem behaviors.
- Discipline procedures are proactive and restorative
- Professional development for behavior/PBIS is evident.
- BOF data is shared with the staff throughout the year.
GROWS
- Classroom matrices were not posted in every classroom.
- Teachers are encouraged to get up from small group to periodically move around the classroom (during small group transitions is s good time) to monitor behavior.
- Behavior specific praise should be provided more often. The goal is 4:1 (4 positives to every 1 negative).
- When using behavior specific praise, remember to also use the language from the matrix "Thank you for walking in the hallway. That is respectful!"
- Ensure there are no "hidden" spots in the classroom where students to hide.
- Use more Paw Tickets to praise behavior.
- Engage families more frequently in their knowledge and understanding of the GRRR Code.
**Not sure what Behavior Specific Praise looks like? Take a walk down to room 7...Mrs. Blaine is a SUPER STAR at behavior specific praise. At times, she can be caught with a 7:1 ratio! Thank you Mrs. Blaine for being a great role model for all of us! **
Welcome to Lynnhaven!
