FPS District Equity Statement

We are committed to supporting students, families, and staff by dismantling racism and other systems of oppression and inequity by empowering each individual to be successful by valuing race, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability, culture, and environment.

Dear Parents and Students,

  • End of Quarter 1 is November 5th. Students and Parents, please check the Teacher Ease gradebook for current grades.

  • VETERANS DAY! We would like to celebrate the upcoming Veterans Day by recognizing family members of our students and staff who have served or continue to serve in our Armed Forces. If you would like to recognize a veteran in your family and have his/her name displayed at FPHS, please complete this FORM.

  • Pictures have arrived! If you ordered school pictures this year, your picture packets are here and may be picked up at the bookkeeper’s office during lunches or before or after school. If you missed picture day, Picture Retake/Makeup Day will be Thursday, November 4th.

  • If you ever need to see our Daily Bulletin announcements, use this LINK. Running Start and Pierce County Skills Center students, please use this link to keep up to date with FPHS announcements.
  • Homework Center: Need extra help in any of your classes? The HW Center is open Monday through Friday from 3pm to 4pm. Hours are extended on early release Wednesdays from 1:30pm to 4pm. You can attend in person in room 202 (next to the Library) or you can attend virtually at the same times using this LINK.

The Franklin Pierce High School Food & Hygiene Pantry is available for all students and their families.

Use this LINK to view our current food & hygiene pantry options. Please mark the items you need and staff will put together a bag or box. We will contact you when your items are ready for pick up or delivery. Items can be requested twice a month. FP Schools Quarantine and Isolation Guidelines:


A mandatory quarantine refers to those individuals who have been exposed via close contact to a student or staff member with a confirmed positive COVID test.

The CDC defines a close contact as under 3feet for more than 15 minutes.

  • Students who have been exposed on campus will be notified by the school nurse or administrator and via a district letter.
  • Students who are vaccinated and not feeling symptoms are not required to quarantine due to exposure.
  • Students who are not vaccinated will be required to quarantine for 14 days from the last day of exposure.


A mandatory isolation refers to those students or staff who are sick with symptoms (COVID positive or not).

  • Students who exhibit COVID symptoms during school will be required to isolate for 10 days OR provide a Negative PCR Covid test AND be symptom free for 24 hours.
  • Students who test positive will be required to isolate for 10 days from the start of symptoms, or date of positive test, whichever comes first.
