Glacier Ridge Elementary School 09.18.20
Dear Glacier Ridge Families,
Happy Friday Everyone!
We completed our second supply pickup this Thursday and most everyone has received their items. Note that every student has something to be picked up and the items are things that will be used immediately. We will be putting the items outside each day at the front entrance from 8-3:15. Stop by and get your things if you did not.
We are glad to announce that we will be welcoming back our OASIS and Adjusted Learning students back on Wednesday and Thursday respectively. The rest of our in person students will be returning on October 5th.
Don't forget that the District 47 board of education meeting on September 21, 2020 will be held at Hannah Beardsley Middle School and will also be held virtually via Zoom to accommodate more attendees. Meeting links will be posted on the D47 website this afternoon.
Have a wonderful Fall like weekend.

Art to Remember Fundraiser
Our school is taking part in a creative fundraiser with Art to Remember that allows you to purchase keepsake products customized with your child’s art.
Participation is COMPLETELY optional.
There are over 50 products and many are less than $15. These make great gifts and a percentage of every purchase goes right back to our school's PTA.
To upload your child's artwork follow this link for directions, then, have fun shopping!
The deadline to order is SATURDAY, OCTOBER 10th.
Thank you for supporting our school!

Family Contact Information
When we are able to transition back to in-person learning please carefully consider who you choose as an emergency contact. Contacts should be adults who are available during the day and have transportation should it be necessary to pick up your child(ren) from school. If necessary, please contact your child’s school to update your information.
Remote Learning Attendance Procedures
Student attendance will be taken online daily by teachers during synchronous learning. Any students missing will be reported to the school’s main office. Parents/guardians should call the school’s attendance line (available 24/7) and leave a message to report student absences for any reason. When you call to report an absence for your child who isn't feeling well, and can't participate in remote learning, please include your child's symptoms with your message.
Required Physicals and Immunizations - DUE Oct. 15th
Physicals and immunizations MUST be completed regardless of in-person or remote by Oct.15th. Exclusions will apply if not completed. (Physical exams must have been completed within one year prior to the first day of school.)
If a student requires ANY medication at school, scheduled and/or as needed, prescribed or over-the-counter, it MAY NOT be dropped off at school without a completed medication authorization form for EACH medication. The forms can also be found on district website.
Upon completion of your child’s health exam, forms and immunization records may be scanned and emailed to the school nurse by visiting the medical records submission page of the District 47 website. Forms may also be dropped off in our drop box located at our main doors or faxed to 815-477-5547
Visit the District 47 website for a complete schedule of state health, dental, and vision exam and immunization requirements by grade level. If questions, please contact your health office.
