Henry VIII
By Kaden Carter
Henry the VIII was married to six different women and played a critical role in English Reformation turning his country into a protestant nation. Henry was born on June 28, 1491, at the royal residence, Greenwhich Palace, in Greenwhich, London, England. He had six siblings but only three survived. In 1534, Henry VIII declared himself supreme head of the Church of England. Henry the VIII was very handsome but liked to eat. By the time of his death he weighed over 400 pounds. He at approximately 5,000 calories a day. He died on January 28, 1547.
Henry was born here in Greenwich Palace. He didn't just live in one place he also lived in the Tower of London, Windsor Castle, St James Palace, Westminster Palace, Eltham Palace and Hampton Court Palace.
Henry the VIII was probably best known for his 6 wives and being over 400 pounds when he died but there's much more to him than that. Henry received great education from the finest tutors in Europe. He could speak fluent Latin and French. He was a very smart man. He wasn't expected to take over the throne but when his brother Arthur died he was next in line. While Henry was king he separated the Church of England from the Roman Catholic Church in 1534, using the Act of Supremacy to declare himself the head of the Church of England. Meeting Castigliones requirements
In my opinion Henry really didn't meat the requirements. He was a very mean man and didn't have the characteristics of a well rounded person.
Henry the 8th was a very well educated man. He was taught by the best tutors in Europe. He knew history very well but wasn't well mannered in my opinion. He owned many instruments but didn't play many. He was obviously not very athletic because we liked to eat a lot of food and weighed around 400 pounds. In my opinion Henry didn't really meat Castiglione's requirements he was not very kind he had some of his wives killed just because they didn't produce a boy for him.
