Be a Wildcat Night Success!

MGP Families,

It was so wonderful to have our school FULL of families last night at our first annual Be A Wildcat Night! We hope you and your family enjoyed the hot dog dinner, the classroom highlights, seeing classmates & families, and a visit from Wally Wildcat!

At this time in the school year, we are busy planning for the 22-23 school year as well! Next week, I will send a class placement parent request form that is optional for parents to complete. If you feel our teachers could use a bit more information about your child in order for them to be successful next year, please complete the form by May 12.

Our 3rd and 4th grade students have been busy with SBA testing and will continue to work hard to show what they know! They've been working SO hard!

Again, seeing so many of our families last night was WONDERFUL! We want MGP to be a community school that is welcoming and open to our families! Thank you for joining us! I don't think the kids wanted to leave last night!

Have a great weekend!

Andrea Sperry, Principal

MAY 9 - MAY 13

SBA Testing Information

3rd and 4th graders are busy working on the SBA assessment this month. Dates for this assessment are listed below. We ask that you limit scheduling appointments or travel during this time so that each student has the best opportunity to do his/her best on the assessment.

3rd Grade Testing Dates

English Language Arts (ELA): April 26, 28, and 29

Math: May 3 and 5

4th Grade Testing Dates

English Language Arts (ELA): May 19 and 20

Math: May 24 and 26

We want every child to do his/her best on this assessment. Students and teachers have been working hard all year to prepare. Our teachers do a great job encouraging students to do their best while being cognizant of individual stress/anxiety around testing.

Talking with your child about getting a good night's sleep, eating a healthy breakfast, and trying their best will be a great way to support them from home.

If you have any questions, please reach out to your child's teacher or to Mr. Ziegler at, our testing coordinator.

MGP Kindergarten Orientation: For new kinders in 22-23

We could not be more excited to welcome you and your child to our Wildcat Family! If you will be sending us a kindergartner for the 22-23 school year, please bring your kindergartner and join us on Wednesday, May 25th for an informational meeting. We will meet from 5:00-6:00 PM which will include time for questions and answers. We will be sharing information about what your child's day will look like, ways to prepare your child for kindergarten, and a bit about our MGP school community! We will also talk about Kindergarten Jump Start, which will be offered in August, and kindergarten conferences. Looking forward to meeting our new Wildcats!

Looking forward to meeting you and your child!

Big picture

Calling next year's kindergartners!

May is National Bike Safety Month

We had over 200 visitors in the gym last night interested in bicycle safety. A BIG thank you to Bike Clark County for their generous donation! As a result, we handed out 88 helmets on Wildcat night. Bike Clark County also donated +150 cycling incentives...Water bottle/cages, streamers, reflectors, keychains, license plates etc. How COOL was that!

Thanks to Mrs. Schroeder for putting this together for our students!
