Principal Ponderings: Values and Beliefs
I believe:
Servant leadership by all individuals creates an optimal environment for every individual. When we put the needs of others ahead of our own we add value.
Positivity and trust will create the most optimal environment for both teaching and learning.
In giving grace instead of grief because I ask for grace in return. Grace builds relationships while grief destroys them.
High-expectations for self and others is crucial to the success of every person in my care.
Professional growth is an integral part of one’s ability to engage in work that is based on best practices.
Self-care outside of work is necessary to maintain a high level of productivity and effectiveness. Focus on taking care of yourself so you can take care of others.
Fun has a place in all educational settings. Fun and learning are not independent of one another.
A collaborative relationship with parents built on positive intent will aide in the educational experience for all shareholders.
Matters of discipline are to be handled in such a way that the dignity of both parties is maintained at all times.
When decisions are required to be made, it is expected that input is obtained from all impacted shareholders and carried out by all and with fidelity.

It is also important to note that if you are having early concerns regarding student learning or behavior, be proactive in contacting home early and often to build that collaborative relationship with the parent now.
Let me know if you would like a student added to the schedule. Thank you.
