Week 9 - 10/25/2019
Week 8 - MPMS SPIRIT WEEK!
Spirit week at MPMS was a blast! Students participated in each of the dress up days, with our sports seasons ending with our boys soccer team having a good finish, our girls track hosting regionals, and our football team going undefeated against the other Manassas middle schools (Stonewall, Parkside, and Metz) and our Volleyball team being named Regional Champions! We celebrated the hard work of all of our fall athletes (including our Special Olympians, our cheer team, and our drumline) with a parade through the halls on Thursday. (See teacher tweets for a video!)
During the school day, classes are wrapping up first quarter. The grading period ends next Friday, on November 1. Check you student's grades through powerschool using the button below - help them be sure to have turned in every assignment. Every teacher assignment has a purpose, and even turned in late is better than an zero for not turning the work in!
Today was our GLOW Dance - and for the first time ever all tickets sold out on Thursday! WOW! We had 300 students come to the dance - what excitement and fun for all of our friends here at MPMS!

Reminder for Walkers/Bike Riders In the Morning!
Crossing Guards are an integral part of the team that gets your children to school safely each day. Please note that crossing guards are at their posts beginning at 6:30 am each school morning. As the mornings are dark and many motorists utilize the Bloom Quarry intersection, please help ensure your children are not crossing intersections before crossing guards are in place. Crossing Guards are prohibited from directing traffic, but their presence will assist in safe road crossing for all pedestrians.
