Parents: The add/drop window is now open. If your student is needing a second semester class or would like to make a change, please have them email schedule@ejps.org. They will need to include what hour they are wanting to switch and their preferred class, during the same hour that they would like to be switched into. There is no guarantee that the requested change can be made. It is based on availability and if the class is a year long course or one semester.
Exams will take place January 19 - January 21, 2022 (see schedule below).
Seniors: The Charlevoix Community Foundation Scholarships are now open! Go to: https://www.c3f.org/scholarships/apply-for-a-scholarship/ to create an account. The Community Foundation scholarships are due March 1, 2022.

What's new in the East Jordan High School Welding Class?
What's new in the technology department?
Dear East Jordan Middle and High School Families,
We want to introduce you to a new piece of technology we are adopting at the Middle and High School. We have purchased the LanSchool software to monitor and protect our students and school Chromebooks and desktop devices. Please read on to learn more about this software and what it does to help our students and staff to have a safe technology experience.
LanSchool Air helps teachers provide instruction and guidance to students outside of the traditional classroom. This solution includes features that:
Allow teachers to save time by pushing a website to all student devices instantly.
Offer instant messaging between the teacher and students, giving students the opportunity to digitally “raise their hand” to indicate they’ve finished their assignment or have a question.
Enable teachers to view students’ screens to ensure they’re staying on track.
Provide a way for teachers to set restrictions on the websites and apps students can visit during class time.
If you would like more information about LanSchool Air, please visit the website at Lanschoolair.com.
Thank you for all you are doing to keep your children safe and learning.

EJMHS Attendance Policy
The attendance policy for EJMHS has changed a bit from last year. Once a student is more than 10 minutes late for their class they are considered absent. Regardless of the type of absence, students are allowed 9 absences in any given class prior to them possibly losing credit in that class. At the 10th absence mark, students will need to complete make-up sessions for every absence thereafter and earn a passing grade (D-) on their final exam in order to gain their credit back. If a student has medically-related extenuating circumstances they may ask for an appeal of their excessive absences. Students will not be penalized for class field trips, sporting events, guidance counselor appointments, class meetings or other school functions.
To report a student's absence, please call the attendance line, which is available 24/7, at 231-536-2274.
EJPS Athletics Department
The GoFan digital ticketing app will once again be used to purchase your tickets into athletic events. You can go to GoFan and search East Jordan for the link to purchase your tickets. Most area schools will be using some form of digital ticketing for their admission into contests. If you are unable to find the event listed on GoFan contact the athletic office for information as to what source a school may be using for their digital tickets.
For those that would prefer to watch the contest from the comfort of their home you can subscribe to the NFHS broadcast system. For a small monthly or yearly subscription fee you can watch any or all of our home contests that are held at the stadium and the middle/high gym. Can't watch them when they're live? You can pull the contest when it's convenient for you and watch it then! Visit www.NFHSnetwork.com -- search for East Jordan and subscribe and follow us!
