Deforestation in Central America
A problem that Central America has is deforestation. Deforestation is when trees are chopped down and land is cleared and the forest cannot regrow as quickly. Three effects of this problem on the lives of the Central American citizens are: 1) The rainfall total have decreased. More fires happen with less moisture in the air. Also, farmers depend on the rain to grow crops. 2) Cattle ranching, to sell meat to businesses over seas, has caused land to be cleared which means less trees. This affects the land for farming and for tree growth. 3) As the population has grown more land is needed for housing so rain forests are cut down.

Solutions to Deforestation problems
Some solutions for deforestation and their possible effects are: 1) Corporations helping- Companies can get products through suppliers who recycle and don't go through countries with rainforests. 2) Consumers- Consumer scan be careful about what they buy. They can buy brands that have zero deforestation policies. 3) Replanting- Replacing cut trees with young trees. People can also plant trees to help their environment.
