Mission Statement - Louisville Public School staff, families, and community are dedicated to the intellectual, emotional, physical growth, and safety of our students.
ADVANCED - CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT PROCESS UPDATE ~
Based on the AdvancED external review team, their insight and feedback provided our district with valuable information which was both positive and growth-oriented.
Positive strengths feedback from our visit included:
1. Theme: The Louisville Public School System exhibits
many effective leadership/governance practices
throughout all levels of the system.
2. Theme: The Louisville Public School System provides
remarkable opportunities for the students - academic
choices, extracurricular opportunities, technology, and
support for students in need.
3. Theme: The Louisville Public School System has garnered
extensive community engagement, leading to
involvement of multiple stakeholders.
4. Theme: The Louisville Public School System engages all
staff members to participate in continuous programs of
professional learning and development, facilitating high
levels of student success as well as enhancing teacher
performance.
5. Theme: The Louisville Public School System has
established a priority to maintain a climate conducive to
learning, housed in a safe and clean facility.
Areas of Growth/Next Steps from our visit included:
1. Theme: The Louisville Public School System would benefit from a
formal structure of data literacy from PK-12th grades (analyzing existing
relevant data that is disaggregated and used to drive formal classroom
instruction). This can direct improvement efforts in the areas of student
achievement, curriculum alignment, professional development, and
formative/summative student assessments.
2. Theme: Enhancing services available for social, emotional, and mental
health will benefit all students of the Louisville Public School System.
3. Theme: Monitor college and career readiness and
postsecondary/work-related transitional success. Maintaining contact with
alumni may ensure efforts made at the Louisville Public School System
are translating into positive life experiences.
As we look at our areas of growth/next steps, Louisville Public School is in the planning process of addressing each identified area. We are looking forward to sharing our next steps with each of you during the 2019-2020 school year....Stay Tuned!!!
