The Charmed Children of Rookskill Castle
It’s 1940 during the London Blitz and Katherine, Robbie and Amelie have been sent north to a private school in Rookskill Castle, Scotland. It’s a strange castle that seems haunted by ghosts or worse. What’s making those terrifying screeches at night? Why do the castle walls seem to have a mind of their own? And why do people seem to mysteriously appear and disappear? Katherine believes it’s Lady Eleanor, who rules Rookskill Castle, and is harboring a Nazi spy. But as her classmates begin to vanish, Kat must uncover the truth about what the castle actually harbors - and who Lady Eleanor really is - before it’s too late. Readers will curl up and keep the lights on with this chilling page-turner! (Historical fiction, Thriller, Mystery, Fantasy)
Restart
Chase doesn’t remember falling off the roof. He doesn’t remember hitting his head. He doesn’t, in fact, remember anything. He wakes up in a hospital room and suddenly has to learn his whole life all over again...starting with his own name. He knows he’s Chase. But who is Chase? When he gets back to school, he sees that different kids have very different reactions to his return. Some kids treat him like a hero. Some kids are clearly afraid of him. One girl in particular is so angry with him that she pours her frozen yogurt on his head the first chance she gets. Pretty soon, it’s not only a question of who Chase is--it’s a question of who he was ...and who he’s going to be. Read the spectacular story of a kid with a messy past who has to figure out what it means to get a clean slate. (Realistic fiction, Humor)
The Last Kids on Earth
Ever since the monster apocalypse hit town, Jack Sullivan has been living in his tree house, which he’s armed with catapults and a moat, not to mention video games and an endless supply of Oreos and Mountain Dew scavenged from abandoned stores. But Jack alone is no match for the hordes of Zombies and Winged Wretches and Vine Thingies, and especially not for the eerily intelligent monster known as Blarg. So Jack builds a team: his dorky best friend, Quint; the reformed school bully, Dirk; Jack’s loyal pet monster, Rover; and Jack’s crush, June. With their help, Jack is going to slay Blarg, achieve the ultimate Feat of Apocalyptic Success, and be average no longer! Can he do it? (Humor, Survival, Fantasy)
