Nau mai hoki mai - welcome back! I hope everyone had an enjoyable break and is now ready to get the ball rolling again with summer sports.
In 2023, Sport NZ are really encouraging a “Balance is Better” approach to children’s participation in sport. Research has identified that children enjoy sport more and are more likely to continue to play sport, when playing with friends within an environment that prioritises connection, fun and development.
With that in mind, TPS has entered teams into a range of local sport leagues:
Flippa Ball - Tuesdays played at Memorial Pool
Fast Football - Wednesdays played at Pemberton Park
Rippa and RIP Rugby - Thursdays played at Greerton Marist Rugby Club
Kiwi Volleyball - Fridays played at QEYC
Registrations for these teams have now closed, but there are a few spots available in the following teams:
Year 5 & 6 Flippa Ball
Year 1 & 2 Fast Football
If your child is interested in playing for one of these teams, please email me at sport@tauranga.school.nz to discuss registration and payment.

WBOP Rugby League 9-a-side Tournament (year 5 & 6s) - Monday 20th March at Arataki Park
South Cluster Swimming Sports (qualifiers only) - Tuesday 21st March at Greerton Pools
WBEET Aspiring Athletes (selected only) - Wednesday 29th March at various venues
