PENNY WARS

The STC Community comes together each year in the D303 Kick-A-Thon for Cancer which benefits the American Cancer Society, as well as, our local Living Well Center and Fox Valley Food for Health. To involve our students, we will conduct a Penny War. Students will be encouraged to bring in pennies from home to fill a container. We want our students to consider doing small jobs to earn their pennies. The Penny War will run from Monday, September 9th through Friday, September 27th.

Davis Richmond Back to School Bash (Event is September 12th 5:00pm-8:00pm at Davis).

Help man the inflatable obstacle course, take a shift at the pitch burst balloon dunk or sign up on the cleanup crew to help wheel in tables at evening end.

Head Room Parents and Class Party Volunteers still needed

Head Room Parents act as the liaison between Teachers, Classroom Parents and PTO organizing classroom parties as well as working with other classroom parents for teacher appreciation gifts and ideas. Don’t worry. You do not have to be at every party – just help work coordinate with the other parent volunteers to make sure parties are organized and covered. PTO is here to help if you have any questions or concerns. Please step up to show support for our teachers and students in the classroom.

Please log on to https://davisrichmondpto.membershiptoolkit.com/volunteer/33089 to volunteer > Scroll to bottom>Classroom >Head Room Parent or Specific Party interested in (once you put your name it will ask for Teacher/grade).

Spirit Stick Coordinator

PTO is still looking for a volunteer to take the lead as Spirit Stick Coordinator. This would include managing the inventory already on hand, ordering more if needed and coordinating how and when PTO would sell throughout the year. This is a program the PTO has run the past few years, so we have stock and a company we use as well as some existing ideas. You wouldn’t be starting from scratch, but you’d have the chance to think through new ways to maximize this fundraising opportunity. Please volunteer at https://davisrichmondpto.membershiptoolkit.com/volunteer/33089 under Spirit Sticks

Be Sure to sign up on https://davisrichmondpto.membershiptoolkit.com/home to see everything your PTO has to offer this year! Calendar of all school events, access to classroom directories, buy spirit wear, sign up to volunteer, pay dues directly and much, much more.

If you have already registered and paid dues don’t forget to log in and assign your students Grade, Teacher and Directory Preference so you can keep in touch with other classroom parents. There is a free phone app as well to make it even more convenient > download Membership Toolkit

INITIAL SCREENINGS

Our literacy and math teams conducted a full school screening to establish baseline data for the year and to identify students who need more time and intensity in reading and math, as well as, those who might need enrichment. If your child qualifies, we will be sharing intervention/enrichment plans with you and inviting you to partner with us at home.

PICTURE RETAKES

Pictures were taken today. If you missed it or if you don’t like your child’s first pictures when you receive them, we will have an opportunity for retakes on Friday, October 4. Stay tuned for more information to come!

THANKS TO ALL

RICHMOND INTERMEDIATE NEWS

100-Mile CLUB AND PRECISION FITNESS

On Monday, Richmond students learned about both the 100-Mile and Precision Fitness clubs offered at Richmond Intermediate. There were also sign-up sheets available for them to take home. Precision Fitness Club can be joined at any point throughout the school year, but 100-mile Club's deadline to join is Friday 9-13-2019. These are both great ways to get students more active throughout the day! Please consider having them join one or both.
