Common Mistakes

  1. Using technology for technology sake.
  2. Not knowing the application well enough.
  3. Not having "Plan B" in case the tech has an issue.
  4. Using tablets as a reward.
  5. Using apps that are not aligned to grade level outcomes.
  6. Using the tablets as "busy work".
  7. Choosing apps that require students to have an account.
  8. Choosing free apps that expose children to advertisements.

Recommended Apps:

Kelly recommends picking one to two apps to begin with and to use them at least five times so that they stick with you.
