Winchester Families, it's time to order your 2019-2020 yearbooks. You can order them online for $16. Visit www.balfour.com.


It's been a busy first few months of school with lots of activities happening. Please upload your photos for any activities children have been involved in since school started. These include first day of school pictures, halloween pictures, fall festival, 3rd grade Victorian field trip, Girl Scout events, Boy Scout events. Star Wars Tickets

Don’t stand in line for Star Wars Tickets! - The Northville Educational Foundation (NEF) is excited to present a special, early screening of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker at Emagine in Novi on Thursday, December 19th. Winter Chess Club

More than just a game, chess helps kids think ahead, visualize their goals, treat others with respect and learn from their mistakes. Starting Wednesday, January 15, an 8-week after-school chess club will be open to students, including those new to the game and those who already have experience playing.


Club fee is $120 and chess equipment will be provided. Minimum of 10 students needed to run the program. Winchester’s Dragonflyer Junior Club

Attention all K-2nd grade artists. Winchester’s Dragonflyer Junior Club is looking for your talent to help support their upcoming newsletter surrounding Nature’s Animals. Junior Great Books 2019

Does your 2nd, 3rd or 4th grader love to read? Or would you like them to read more? Consider having them join Junior Great Books!


JGB is a Book Club of short stories for kids. The students meet weekly in small groups, during Lunch-Recess hour, to discuss the story they have read for the week. Jr. Great Books begins meeting the week of January 13th and the program runs for 6 weeks. A recognition ceremony is held at the end, with the students receiving a reward they can use at the Spring Book Fair.

Toys For Tots

As part of their community service activities, our first grade Girl Scout daisy troop #40239 is expanding their efforts to support Toys for Tots this year by putting a donation box in our school starting Monday, November 4th. All Winchester families are welcome to join them by making a donation of unopened and unwrapped toys to those children in need. Your generosity and support are greatly appreciated!

Parents At Lunch (PALS)

PAL is a PTA-sponsored program that provides support at lunch from 11:45 am -12:35 pm daily. This is a great opportunity to be present in school for your child, while providing valuable support for students and lunch staff.


Please consider volunteering!. You can sign up for lower or upper elementary lunchtimes or both and volunteer as often as you would like beginning September 16, 2019. IChat forms are required and they take some time to process, so please submit forms as soon as possible. The form is attached for your convenience.
