Week of September 18th
WEEKLY RECAP
We learned about our senses...
We had a guest reader...
We showed what NOT to do...
We have had an increase in bringing toys and belongings to school this week. I shared with the students that I love how much they want to share with their friends, but we just don't have enough time in our day for show and tell for everyone, every day. Moving forward, if students want to have show & tell they can purchase a coupon at the fuzzy store.

We are needing classroom helpers on the afternoon of September 20th and 26th. Please send me an email if you are available. We will be engaging in science experiments, apple taste tests, crafts, and MORE!

FAMILY FOCUS | SOCIAL SKILLS
STOP ➡️ THINK ➡️ RESET
We have been working on being proactive and making positive/good choices each day. When a student is having a challenging time they are prompted with:
- STOP: Students are asked to stop what they are doing so they can make a better choice.
- THINK: Think about what is expected vs. unexpected or a good choice vs. sad choice and then ask ourselves "what did my teacher ask me to do?" or "what are all my peers doing?" to help increase and encourage thinking before acting.
- RESET: Think about what the good choice is and reset our actions to make that choice.
REDIRECT
If a student is having a hard time listening, working, etc. they are given a redirect either verbally or non verbally (using a card) and they know that that is their first warning to make a better choice. You are more than welcome to use this language at home to reinforce positive choices!
