When I Plug My Projector in I See Outer Space....
If, when you plug your projector in and turn it on, you can only see what looks like a picture of outer space, you may not have mirroring turned on. After updating to Mavericks it will revert to default settings. So, with your projector plugged into your computer, open System Preferences. Click on Displays. Then click on arrangement and be sure “mirror displays” is checked. A picture is shown below.
Pearson Single Sign-On Platform
Pearson has developed a way for you to sign on to their platform using one log in and password. This gives you access to all of the Pearson resources in one place. Here are detailed directions for accessing your Pearson Account. Please take the time to read these instructions as much care and time was put into providing this for all of the teachers. Google Classroom is Here!
Google Classroom is now open for teachers in the Bellevue Public Schools domain! In order to get started, go to classroom.google.com and click "I am a Teacher". Go to our tt4t YouTube channel to view the Google Classroom playlist. You will find videos to help you set up your classes, enroll students, post assignments, and more. Subscribe to the channel or playlist to get notifications when a new video is uploaded.
Still Need to Update to Apple's Mavericks?
If you are still needing help updating to Mavericks for your laptop, don't panic. Simply visit with your Building Technology Coordinator to get a few tips. To help prepare you in advance you will need an Apple ID (directions on how to create one are on the document referenced below) to update and after updating to Mavericks you will want to run some updates from Self Service. If you need some assistance please contact your BTC for help. Here is the link for the document to help you out. Please be sure to work through all of the steps.
