Why go to France

I would go to France for many reasons. First of all, I would visit my family. I would go to the cities of Charte and Chatorou. There I would visit my families. Also I would visit the battlefields of Normandy. I would go there to see the beaches of the greatest land invasion ever to happen. Another, reason would be to see the ocean in the west of France. There I would go swimming in giant waves that will push you down so fast. They are so fun even for tourists. Last but not least, I would go there to see my old friends. There we could talk about where we have been and what we've done with our lives. That is why I would go to France.

History: Write a brief history about your destination.

People started migrate to France between 30,000 and 10,000 years ago. Once Rome fell France was one of the 3 countries created. Normandy was named after the Normans a viking group that colonized Normandy. During the medieval area France was boosted the highest culture rating in Europe. The black death killed 1/3 of the 15 million people living there. France was at war with England for more than 100 years for land. The french revolution war was in 1789-1794. Naplolean Bonapart took over most of Europe during the mid 1800's. France won WW1 against Germany but lost World War 2 in 1940.

The french resistance played a big role for the allies during its occupation by Germany.

France abandoned its colonies in Asia in 1954. France did not want to go to war in 2003 against Iraq since the french people had no buissness in the war.

Culture: Write about your destinations culture.

"83-88% of French people are Catholic. 2% are protestant. 1% are Jewish. 5-10% are Muslim. 4% are unaffiliated." Food is one of the greatest things french people are good at. "French people have few children but take role as a protector very seriously." Hand shaking is a common way of meeting someone. "Friends might greet each other by lightly kissing on the cheeks, once to the left and once to the right." Flowers should be given in an odd number but 13 because that is an unlucky number. When dinning dress nice and arrive on time. Don't eat until the host says "bon appetit." Meaning eat well. Finish everything on your plate during a meal to show you enjoyed it. "Peal and slice fruit before eating it." Those are some french cultures.

My car breaks down and I get into an accident. The way to solve this is to get travel insurance. Then I pay a little bit while the insurance pays most of it. I got lost in a forest. I rented a car with a GPS that showed me how to get out. Then I go to my destination.

Optional: About the traveler. Who are you? Have you ever traveled?

Conclusion/Reflection

I chose going to France because I spent time with family. I went with CJ because he is an old friend that I haven't seen in a long time. We spent our money on the activities mostly because we wanted to enjoy the outdoors and be in a different country. This affected our trip because we had little money for other things such as souvenirs. One problem was finding cheap flights. We solved this problem by going farther and farther down the list of flights until we found a cheap flight.
