Gemini teachers take attendance each class period. Parents need to call the 24-hour attendance line at (847) 827-1758 to report any student absence. You may track your child's attendance through the Parent Portal.
Need help with technology? Submit a helpdesk ticket. Most support will be provided at the district office.
Use the Gemini bell schedule to help set a daily routine.

Health Requirements
Please note: Illinois State Board of Education will not allow your child to attend school (virtually or in-person) if required medical forms are NOT submitted by October 15th, 2020.
6th Grade:
- Current Illinois Physical Exam with up to date immunizations
- 6th grade vaccines required: Tdap and Meningococcal (MCV4)
- Dental exam form: Due May 15th, 2021
7th & 8th Grade:
- Only students that transferred to District 63 for 2020-2021
- Submit current Illinois Physical Exam with up-to-date immunizations.
Medication:
If your child will be taking medication at school during the 2020-2021 school year, please submit the completed D63 Medication Authorization Form, along with applicable Action Plans (Asthma, Allergy, Seizure) to the Gemini Health Office.

Library Updates
Book Checkout
Live book checkouts are back at Gemini! Students can place books on hold on Destiny Discover and will receive an email once their books are ready for pickup. Parents/guardians can come to Gemini (Door 1) on Tuesdays from 7 AM - 9 AM and Thursdays from 4 PM - 6 PM. Parents/guardians will need to sign the pick-up sheet to verify that the books were received. For more information and further directions, visit the library website. We are happy to continue suggesting titles to students who are looking for something new or different to read. Reading Challenge
Plans are being put in place to hold a virtual reading challenge this year! This is a fun program put on by the Niles-Maine District Library where students form teams to read a list of books and compete against other teams in the spring. More information to come!
Scary Story Contest
Calling all writers! The Niles-Maine District Library is holding a scary story contest for students in grades 7-12. Winners will receive a Surprise Scare Package and have the opportunity to read their stories at a virtual campfire. Submissions are due October 8. 7th Grade Materials Pick Up
Thursday, October 1st, 8 AM - 6 PM
Friday, October 2nd, 8 AM - 3:45 PM
Monday, October 5th, 8 AM - 3:45 PM
Students will begin using the materials in science class on Tuesday, October 6th.
Additionally, if you are currently enrolled in Family and Consumer Science with Mrs. Melfi, you will be given your at-home sewing kit when you pick up your science materials.

Meal Pickup
Due to a recent change in programming and funding provided by the United States Department of Agriculture, D63 is once again providing free meals for any child in the community aged 18 or younger. Meals will be distributed twice weekly through a drive-by pickup:
