Doyle Elementary Weekly Update
May 3rd-May 7th
Appreciation Week is May 3rd-7th
Come our and help us celebrate all the wonderful people that make Doyle an amazing place to learn and grow! May 3-7th is Appreciation week where we will be appreciating all of our Doyle Teachers & Staff. The PTA has provided some suggestions on how to appreciate this year, but you're welcome to do something else. Please watch the video and/or see the flyer. It is highly recommended that you do not hand items to teachers & staff this year, but rather to email them to your teachers, or to place your items (clearly labelled) in the Appreciation Items box at the front of the school and they make their way to your teachers & staff. Emails for the entire Doyle team are available here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/185hxJ9yfI8CNHl9mOjCLE1xYP9AZallC4X7L3x8b_Ck/edit#gid=0

Weekly Wellness Tip from the Counselor
Weekly Wellness Tip
A good guideline is to drink at least half of your body weight in ounces per day. If you already do that and are looking for a challenge drink at least 120 ounces per day!
Don’t forget to increase your water intake if you are exercising or during hot temperature days. Lastly, here are some helpful tips to make sure you drink enough water each day:
- Infuse your water with lemon, cucumber, lime or mint
- Keep track of your bottles of water drank by keeping rubber bands around your water bottle
- Drink at least 8 ounces of water before you eat a snack or meal
- Fill up a gallon jug of water each day and pour from that each time you need more.
Social and Emotional Needs for Students
We are here to support the social emotional needs for our students as families as we navigate these challenging times. Our school counselor, Kylie Ripley, has created a Google Survey to help us better understand the needs of our students and families.
