Happening this week...

We have had a fabulous beginning to the new school year. Classes are running full STEAM ahead and students are quickly adjusting to their schedules and expectations.

Chromebooks have arrived and it is very important to bring your device to school each day fully charged. We are also excited to make our digital library available to the students. Humanities teachers have shared this information, but the link is also attached below. Students may always have a book to read at their fingertips.

This week we will begin to explore the process of the scientific method and what it means to ask quality questions. Your child should have brought home a lab safety contract to be signed by both the child and a guardian. If these have not been returned or if you have not seen one at all please ask your student about the contract to help ensure that all contracts are turned in and that your 6th grade scientist knows how to practice safely.

We will review the words in class as we learn them, but students should also be reviewing them at home. There will be a vocabulary assessment on September 8th.
