Principal's Message
As we immerse ourselves in the vibrant colors of autumn this October, I extend my sincere gratitude for your steadfast support in cultivating a nurturing learning environment. Your partnership has played a crucial role in fostering the growth of our students.
I invite you to actively participate in guiding the next steps of our students' educational journey. Your involvement is key to creating a dynamic atmosphere that nurtures curiosity and encourages excellence. Our teachers are diligently analyzing student data from the NWEA MAP Growth assessments, enabling them to provide targeted and data-driven instruction for our students. The partnership between parents and school is vital to student success.
I am delighted to share exciting news about our students' academic achievements. During a recent visit to IWA high school, I received commendable feedback regarding our graduates. It is with great pride that I inform you that our students are not only transitioning smoothly into high school but are also excelling in honors and advanced placement classes.
This accomplishment is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and the strong foundation they received at our school. We take pride in preparing our students for the challenges of high school, and it's truly rewarding to see them thriving in advanced academic settings.
Your continued support has been instrumental in their success, and I look forward to witnessing their continued growth in the years ahead. Thank you for being valuable partners in your child's education.
A heartfelt appreciation goes to all the parents and community volunteers who generously contribute their time to make St. Clare’s a warm and family-friendly environment, offering incredible opportunities for our students. Special thanks to our Advisory School Council, HSA, club sponsors, room parents, lunch monitors, mystery readers, atrium volunteers, committee members, and countless others who wholeheartedly give their time, treasure, and talent to ensure our students' needs are met.
Save the date for our upcoming concert on October 20th. Kindly share the flier and ticket link on your social media pages, encouraging others to join us in this fellowship and fundraising event. Your presence will make a significant difference, and we look forward to seeing you there!
I also want to provide a heads up about an exciting event on our campus. Dr. Crystal Collier, the author of The NeuroWhereAboutsGuide, will be our guest speaker in October or November. Stay tuned for more information soon.
Once again, thank you for being an integral part of our school community. Your continued support makes a positive impact on the educational journey of our students.
In Christ,
Claudia Cavazos

3rd Grade Soccer Invitation
Hello 3rd Grade Parents,
I hope that this email finds you well.
I'd like to announce that 3rd graders are eligible to join our Stars soccer team this season! While our athletic program is usually open to 5th - 8th graders, we recruit from lower grade levels on an as-needed basis. The team is in need of a few more players to maintain a sufficient roster, and thus, I wanted to reach out to see if your child is interested. The team typically practices on Monday - Thursday from 3:30 - 5 PM, while the games are on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please be aware, that most teams we play are on the Varsity level (5th - 8th graders). But, there are some that do have 3rd graders.
To be eligible to participate in games, the following items would need to be turned in:
- Sports Physical (attached)
- Signed Uniform Form (attached)
- Signed Athletic Handbook (p. 14) (attached)
- Athletic fee of $70, acceptable in cash or check (This is typically $140, but since we are about half way through the season, it'll be reduced to half)
If your child is interested, please let me know, and I will provide more information.
Have a great weekend!
Thank you,
Michael Benoit

As a community, we recognize the pivotal role teachers play in our children's lives. Not only do they provide an excellent education, but they are also mentors and role models who help mold our children into responsible citizens and compassionate individuals. Our teachers play an invaluable role in our children’s lives, academic development, and faith formation.
Amidst our current economic challenges, we must acknowledge the importance of fair compensation for our educators, in alignment with their invaluable contributions. We know how important educators are to the success of our school and the development of our young scholars. Thus, we are excited to introduce the "Secure the Future'' fund—an initiative dedicated to upholding academic excellence and fostering Catholic education. Through it, we seek to raise the funds needed to attract and retain high-level educators through competitive compensation and professional development.
The fund will kick off with a concert on October 20 where 100% of the proceeds will go towards the “Secure the Future” fund. This event is designed for the entire community, a combination of fellowship, food, and the beautiful music of musical artist Tony Meléndez.
For sneak peeks of Tony Meléndez's beautiful and talented work, please see the information below.
Bay Area Catholic High School (BACHs) Feasibility Study
The Bay Area Catholic High School parents group, with permission, is conducting a feasibility study for a new potential Catholic High school in the Bay Area Deanery.
A pivotal part of this feasibility study is a demographics survey of our parish communities. This is a great opportunity to provide input that will help shape our future plans!
The survey can be accessed by clicking the button below, or with the QR code using the camera on any mobile device. We pray for substantial participation within our deanery and with your help, we can succeed.
We ask that you share with your Parish communities and any others you know who may be interested in a Catholic school in our Deanery.
On behalf of our entire team, we thank you for your support. Advocating for Catholic education in our community has been an honor and blessing. Please continue to pray for and support us in any way you can.
In Christ,
The BACHs team
