How it Effects People
People with the condition, tend to have social, behavioral, emotional, and hallucination problems. They see and hear things that are not there. People with the disease, have higher rates of premature death and may believe someone is onto them or someone is controlling them.
Highest Risk Factor
The risk of it is at its highest when a person has an identical twin with the disease.
Medication
Schizophrenia is usually a life long disease, so it needs medication. There is no specific medication that works for everyone; much of the process is trial and error, testing out what works for each person.
Substance Abuse
It is very common for people to abuse substances like drugs, when they have schizophrenia.

Peer counseling and the right medication is the best way.
