We would like to thank all of you for the tremendous effort that you have made all fall to ensure that our school was as safe as possible: it has been an incredible team effort between school and home, and we are so grateful for the supportive partnership. We know that everyone is anxiously awaiting a decision about the return to learning in January: what we do know for sure is that our staff has been prepared all fall long to pivot to remote learning if needed, and we will be ready for either face to face or remote learning after the holidays. We have a dedicated and talented staff, and your kids are in great hands!
We had a truly joyful last day before the holidays: everyone came dressed in their PJs, and many of the students were wearing their new Hawks t-shirts with pride! The sun was shining, the field had dried up (no muddy boots tonight...our gift to you :)) and we had an amazing outdoor dance party to celebrate 4 months of hard work, perseverance and staying strong together!
We would like to wish each and every one of you a healthy, happy and joyful holiday...we know that things will likely look different than usual for all of us: we plan to enjoy those little moments at home with our families that can seem ordinary on the surface, but that hold a lot of magic and memories when you take the time to notice all of the small things. And there may be some new traditions that emerge this year! We hope that you enjoy the slideshow of Henderson Hawks Family Traditions, Activities and Celebrations, as well as some pictures of the fun and festivity that graced our building this week.
