I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! This morning, I would like to highlight some of the "behind the scenes" work that happens in Union School District and Carlton Ave Elementary School. The split photo above shows the before and after shots from the Tk/Kindergarten play area. The old sandbox and planter boxes we crumbling apart and there were chunks of concrete just below the surface. Union School District's Maintenance & Operations as well as Landscape teams were here last Saturday turning an unusable space into a beautiful, clean and safe spot in the TK/Kinder pay area. Staff are brainstorming the best use of this space, possibly for painting or other outdoor exploratory activities. I am so grateful for our wonderful teams that support all of the schools, keeping them safe and looking fantastic!!!

Be Seen and Heard Parent Night will take place Tuesday evening from 6:00-7:00PM. Assemblies (Zoom) for students will take place at the following schedule:

Please be prepared to walk your TK/Kinder student to their classroom door in the mornings and give them a quick hug at 8:05 before you exit. Some little ones may struggle a little bit with separating from their parents in the morning, that is OK!!! Please know that we have an experienced TK/Kinder staff that are prepared to help manage these situations and help make your child feel welcomed and settled.
