Caution! DO NOT READ!!!

Okay, now that I have your attention, I really want you to read this. Using these Individualized Student Learning Reports is an easy to implement, amazing strategy that will take your student performance to the next level! It is also a great way to give students a better overall picture of their learning, as well as give you, the teacher, a better picture of how you can help each student. It is a great example of working smarter, not harder.

The example below shows this student made a 58. When a student sees that, they see a 58 as being a pretty poor grade and don't feel that great about how they did on the test. However, using this report, the student can see that over 1/2 of the questions he missed were all on one TEK! That's a relatively easy fix! As you can see by the note below, Mrs. Brown will meet with this student and go over 8.5A, and if he learns that one TEK, he will see that 58 turn into a 76, which is not terribly far off being commended. This is an awesome strategy and we highly recommend you implement it to see it work for you and your students. It will probably take you an hour or so to set up the template (which can be used every year), and once it is created, all you have to do is circle the questions each student missed.

Shout-out to Debbie Cholette for organizing all of the groups for testing! That is a huge undertaking! Thank you for all of your time making sure students were in the right place and that their accommodations were communicated. You ROCK!

Shout-out to Cammi Bruton for making our first College Day so successful! She did a great job providing a lesson that sparked curiosity in our students and got them thinking about the possibilities beyond high school! She gave some their first glimpse that college could be a possibility for them.

Shout-out to all the staff for helping the custodians by having the students use the trash cans in the hallway for food and drink items. Thank you!!
