How He Was An Agent Of Change:
He introduced a new genre of writing. If he had not horror movies would not exist today. Horror introduced the fascinating and fearsome world of the supernatural and the dark side of mankind. To which it still fascinates us today. The thrill of being scared and your adrenaline pumping with the suspense building is very addictive. He is consider the father of horror.
Henry D. Thoreau

-Life Without Principle
How He Was An Agent Of Change:
He rejected society that told him how to live his life. He took control of his own life by not caring about trying to impress others. He did not want to meet external expectations if they varied from his own from his own sense of how to live his own life. He was man who believed in freedom of choosing how to live life up to his own expectations. Something I agree with wholeheartedly with.

How Was He An Agent Of Change:
He spoke out against materialism (the belief that material or physical things-not spiritual-are the most important), Formal Religion, and Slavery. He spoke of slavery saying " I will not obey it by God" He was not merely against certain things, He both preached and modeled a positive attitude He became Americas leading transcendentalist a person who believes that reality is discovered through thought not experience. He believed in the honesty of the person. He was a person who without America could not have done without hearing his voice.
