Snapchat for Educational Use
HOWEVER, I have found multiple uses for it as a learning tool! I spent some of our unscheduled January break (yeah, snow!) working with this social media tool and want to share some ideas with you.
First, there is a terrific article from Matt Miller (author of Ditch That Textbook, Google-Certified Innovator, Experienced Classroom Teacher) regarding Snapchat. I highly recommend you read it. (Won't take more than 2 minutes.)
Here's the link: SNAPCHAT 101 FOR EDUCATORS
Then, check out this story of an English teacher and her school librarian using Snapchat to teach classic literature and make the experience differentiated to meet student skills.
That story can be accessed here: SNAPCHAT ODYSSEY
I'm working on a book display idea that will incorporate Snapchat. I'll be sure to share more details as it comes together (or fails miserably....I'm open to that too!).
