PTA's Sunnyside Fun Run Goal Update

Thank you to everyone who has participated in the Sunnyside Fun Run - Get Moving fundraiser so far. and look forward to everyone's participation.

The Sunnyside Fun Run is this Thursday and we are over halfway to our goal! We’re making good progress toward our goal, but we still NEED YOUR SUPPORT!

  • Currently, we’re at $17,276.00 we’re 57% to goal!
  • 32% of students have participated with a donation
  • 43% of students have registered for the Sunnyside Fun Run
  • 50 State Challenge: We have donations from 27 states so far. Please reach out to your out-of-state family and friends to help us get a donation from every state!
  • 3 of our classrooms have hit their classroom goal!
  • Please note, all in-person donations need to be turned in by Thursday, November 17. Online donations will be accepted through Monday, November 21.

Congratulations to Team Kuny, Team O’Hara, and Team Maury for exceeding their classroom goals! Check out the Classroom Leaderboard to view how your student’s classroom is progressing toward their goal.

Sunnyside Fun Run Registration

Have you registered your student online? We are hoping to have 100% registration. It is quick, easy, and earns your student a prize!

  • We will be raffling off ten 1-hour passes to Zero Gravity on the day of the Fun Run. Students must be registered online to be included in the raffle!
  • The first 3 classrooms that reach 100% student registration will receive $25 in classroom games for students to enjoy!
  • If you have concerns about posting your child’s information online, please read the following regarding the security built into student fundraising pages created through FundHub:
All student pages are secure and cannot be found through a search engine using the child’s name in a browser. They are encrypted with a 12-15 digit code to make them very secure. The only way a person could find a student’s page is if the parent chooses to share it via email or social media.

3 Simple Steps to get to goal fast!

  1. First Register your parent dashboard and complete your child’s student webpage with a PICTURE at School Identifier: 62a1f07255932
  2. Make an online donation using the red Donate button right away
  3. Share with friends and family, they want to help!
  • Send 10-15 emails and/or text messages
  • Post Facebook or Twitter
  • Help your child reach their goal in 24/48 hours

If you have any issues getting your student’s account set up, please reach out to us at

More Fun Run Volunteers Needed:
We are still looking for volunteers to help with the Fun Run events on Thursday, November 17. Check out the volunteer sign-up form for details on available roles: Fun Run Volunteer Sign-Up

Child Tax Credit

Families with no income or low income could get at least $3,000 per child with the Child Tax Credit, plus $1,400 with the third stimulus payment - even if they have never filed taxes before and if they have not filed taxes this year. It is estimated that more than 33,000 children in Minnesota could miss out on this money if their parent/guardian has not filed.

Deadline is TODAY. There is an easy form for people to file on their mobile devices in 15 minutes or less at:

Opportunity to get involved with Ralph Reader Food Shelf

Over 3000 people (nearly 1000 families) are currently accessing our services each month and we are seeing a 25% increase in individuals requesting help over the past 6 months. The price of gas and food have created many new challenges for families who are living paycheck to paycheck. And, with the holidays around the corner, we are gearing up for another increase in demand for our services.

Holiday Project - we are looking for people to sign up to collect, pack and donate pre-made Thanksgiving Bags with all the fixins or holiday baking kits for families with children. Please follow these links to sign up and help make the holidays brighter for families in need.
