Books + Technology @yourlibrary!
Research. Read. Relate.
Students and teachers utilize our library almost everyday, especially when it is time for research projects and exams. From research papers, to books, to iPads, to final exam reviews, our library is definitely a vital part of the school building and its ever-changing educational environment.
What's New with Books
New Year. New Books.
Look for new books on the New Arrivals & Favorites shelf. I am excited to share these new reads with all of our students and faculty.
Book to Movie Night
S9 YA Readers had a "Book to Movie Night" with Divergent as the featured film. Members brought snacks and discussed the differences and similarities between the book and the film version of the book.
Our next read will be The Young Elites, by Marie Lu.

Get Charged in the Library!
In support of S9's new BYOD pilot program and mobile device learning, I have set up a charging station for our students. So far, it has been a big hit! Students come in during break to charge their devices. Most often, students charge devices while they are reading or working on class projects. This is definitely an example of "blending the lines."
About the Charging Stations
About the Charging Stations
- Charge up to 15 devices, both IOS and Android, on the provided charging blocks.
- 12 additional power outlets are available for students who bring their own charging cables.
Charging Station Rules
- Your Device. Your Responsibility.
- Do not leave your device unattended.
- S9GS is not responsible for misplaced, damaged, or stolen devices.
