The guard is under the direction of Garrison Hilton and staff includes Ryan Glover, Jessica Hinkel, and Rachel Threatt. Staging was done by Lenny Westmoreland and costumes were designed by Algy.

Get Smart: Found on B and C wing are images of extensions of learning from the Biology 1 HN / English 2 HN Expedition on genetics and DNA. Shown in the image adjacent this brief are pictures of offspring from the recent genetic connection. We can't wait to see what other learning experiences accompany this expedition.

Gators of the Week: Presidents' Day Honored

Do good. In observance of Presidents' Day, RBHS students were allowed a holiday from school. Beginning first as a day to observe President George Washington's birthday, the day has evolved to honor all presidents past and present. As we engage this week and next in South Carolina's primary, let us all remember our past presidents and their contributions and leadership to the United States of America. Happy Presidents' Day.

Long Beach High School, NY Sends Supplies to RBHS

Nike Work Based Learning Center Serves RBHS and SC Flood Victims

The name of the school is the Nike Work-Based Learning Center, an alternative high school setting within the Long Beach Public School District on Long Island. It will be three years ago this coming Thursday when the town of Long Beach was decimated by Hurricane Sandy. Recently, a fried to our Counselor Dr. Vacchio, had kept an eye on my social media presence and on the news, and he had reached out to RB to see how the Nike Center could help with our local flood relief efforts.

The school's administrator Mr. Howard Fuchs, classmate and teammate to Dr. Vacchio, set a goal twofold: for Nike WBL Center to establish and maintain a lasting relationship with RBHS and to help with fundraising and donation efforts in our area. Pictures below show the fruits of this labor. SC and RBHS is eternally indebted to the service of the students at this high school and look forward to a long term relationship.

The Having of Wonderful Ideas

Teaching in Expeditionary Learning schools fosters curiosity about the world by creating learning situations that provide something important to think about, time to experiment, and time to make sense of what is observed.

Hats off to the CREW design team for creating such an amazing learning experience for Senior CREWs in the IMPACT conference, tackling the question; "How can I be a better local to global citizen".
