Greetings NPS Parents,
We are aware of and understand the growing concern regarding the coronavirus, also known as COVID-19. Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt has stated that, at this time, schools should plan to remain open following Spring Break.
We will continue to closely monitor the situation and follow the guidance outlined by local and state officials as the situation evolves. We have also taken additional preventative measures, such as canceling all out-of-state travel for school-sanctioned events. Additionally, the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association (OSSAA) has postponed all state basketball tournaments and playoff-level music contests for this weekend.
This is a rapidly changing situation, and we encourage you to stay connected over the break by checking for district updates in your email or online at www.normanpublicschools.org/health as we will continue to provide updates as information becomes available.
Sincerely,
Dr. Nick Migliorino
Superintendent
