Ecology

Abiotic
None living factors in the environment. The brick represents non-living factors in an environment like dirt, water, rocks, ect.
Biotic
Biotic factors in the environment are living. These factors are represented by this plant. Some living factors you may find are plants, animals, and bugs.
Current Weather
This was the weather in 5th period yesterday.
Phosphorus Cycle
The phosphorus cycle is represented by this collage of pictures. It shows that plants get oxygen and phosphorus to synthesize DNA. People and animals eat plants and the phosphorus is returned to the plants when we decay.
Heterotrophs
These fish represent biotic factors that cannot make their own food. These living things rely on other living things to make(or be) their food so they can eat and get the energy they need to live.
Autotrophs
Autotrophs are factors in an environment that make their own food. Plants make their own food through photosynthesis.
Paratism
Paratism is when one member benefits and the other is harmed. In this picture my brother is hanging on me while I was trying to do my work. (If you look at it another way this could be a commensalism relationship because he was helping me with my project but he didn't benefit from it at all)
Mutualism
Mutualism is when both members of the relationship are benefiting from each other. In this relationship both girls are helping each other out by playing patty cake. You can't play patty cake by yourself so they're helping each other out and playing together.
Commenalism
Commenalism is when one member of the relationship is benefiting and the other isn't being affected in a negative or positive way. In this photo one member is being affected by having her shoe tied while the one tying the shoe isn't being affected in any way.
Nitrogen Cycle
Bacteria absorbs nitrogen and makes it into a usable form in the soil which plants absorb. We eat the plants and the nitrogen is returned to the environment through decaying animals and urine.
The water in the fountain is filtered and absorbed by us which our bodies use to provide nutrients for ourselves. It is then returned through urine and decaying animals.
Food Chain
The outlet represents a producer, which provides energy for the consumers. The extension chord represents the consumers, sending energy from the outlet into the charger. The charger plugs into the computer and provides energy so the carnivores (us) can get juice into our laptops and iPads to do our work.
Water Cycle
The shower represents the water cycle. The bath is empty because the water is in the drain. When I start the shower it begins to "rain" and then "evaporates" into the drain. The process repeats and fresh water comes out every time.
Carbon Cycle
Plants use CO2 to create glucose through photosynthesis. Heterotrophs eat plants who then exhale CO2 through cellular respiration and the cycle starts again.
