Named after it's first recipient, this high honor was given to Schode 25 years after she established the Harmony Hill Retreat Center providing rural medicine in Union Washington. Her exemplary work to bring behavioral health to undeserved communities is an inspiration to all.

Additional areas of interest
If you are interested in lobbying on behalf of AAPPN, we would love to hear from you. We must gather together to have a voice on our behalf. Our scope of practice is dependent on legislation and the board of nursing. We need to continue to influence these important groups to have the widest scope possible. Addtional questions we can answer: update on the affordable care act as it was addressed by our president Mr. Karczewski as we move into the second enrollment period. The last update was from October, 2013. Let's discuss at our next conference how the affordable care act is influencing care for behavioral health patients, has it changed how we practice? In what ways has it changed and it this a positive or negative change? Unfortunately due to our limited personnel, we have trouble returning emails, and seek volunteers to get involved.
