Preparing our students for tomorrow through real world experiences today
December 16th- December 20th, 2019
Get Involved in our School's PTO Today!
Last week we had our second PTO meeting. Thirteen parents were in attendance, eager to learn ways that they can enrich students’ lives through programs and events. With the start of a Parent Teacher Organization parent will have an opportunity to volunteer and help students, teachers, and the school during their free time.
During the meeting we talked about a couple fundraising ideas, such as an, ice cream sale, bake sale, and even an International Food Day. We talked about how we can use the money raised for incentives, events and activities for our school. Mrs. Ali has done an amazing job organizing and educating parents on the benefit of joining the PTO and the positive impact it will have on their children's academics and behavior.
We would also like to thank Mr. Akkaya, Ms. Saeed, and Ms. Kara for being part of the meeting.
Our next meeting will be held on January 9, 2020. If you are interested in joining the PTO/PTA or would like to acquire more information please contact Mrs. Naima Ali at n.ali@horizoncolumbus.org.
