End of Year:

I have quite a few items in this newsletter that I want to share with you. Please read through it all. There are dates in May for school wide upcoming events, and a survey in which our school would like for you to participate.

For Field Day: Check out below the date. Please send a towel and there will be a snow cone truck here on that day. Coach Relle wanted me to let you know that the snow cones are NOT free. They can run about $4. If you would like for your child to buy one, please send money with your child. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to email me. .

5th grade parents, please send in a picture of your child as a toddler. The 5th grade is doing something with these for their 5th grade celebration.

Also, this month, there will be the 5th grade transition ARDs, so watch for reminder notices that will be coming home in your child's folder.

If I forget to mention something in this newsletter, I may be sending another one out this week.

2015-2016 New Student Registration

New student registration for 2015-16 KG - 5th graders opens on May 4th, 2015. The registration forms for the 2015-16 school year will become available on April 20th, 2015. If you fill out forms prior to this date you will be asked to redo this process as some questions have been added for the 2015-16 school year.

Please follow the steps below:
  • Complete the online registration packet.
  • You will be instructed to create a new parent account. Be sure to keep your log in information for future access to your student's account, report card, etc.
  • Once you have completed the online paperwork, come to the campus (after May 4th) to complete your child's registration.

Items you MUST bring to complete registration:

Your child's birth certificate

Current immunization records

Current proof of residency (gas, water, or electric bill only)

Parent ID or driver's license

Social Security Card (preferred but not required)

School lunch Accounts:

Dear MISD parent,

This is just a friendly reminder from the MISD Student Nutrition Office and your Cafeteria Staff. As you may know the cafeteria cannot accept any charges beginning Tuesday, May 5th. Please understand that this policy is intended to reduce or eliminate negative balance accounts before the end of the school year. If your child has a negative balance or is unable to pay the full purchase price of the meal, they will receive an alternate meal that will consist of a sunbutter sandwich, vegetable and juice until the charges are taken care of. We apologize if this is an inconvenience to you.

Please feel free to call your cafeteria managers with any questions regarding your student's account. Please remember we take cash and check payments in the cafeteria during kitchen hours and you may also visit to use the online payment system. Remember when using the online system that we are not responsible for when the payments get processed, so please allow at least 24 hours for your payment to show up in your student's account.

Please do not put anyone at the school in the position of having to deny your child the meal of their choice - no one wants to do that. If you make sure your child has adequate funds for purchasing school meals, this can be avoided.
