SDSU School of Theatre, Television, and Film Presents:

Come join us for our musical theatre production!

Inspired by Ingmar Bergman’s landmark film Smiles of a Summer Night and with overtones similar to Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, A Little Night Music follows the adventures and mishaps of a series of mismatched couples. The play is set in the early 20th Century in the midst of Sweden’s midsummer’s eve when the sun never sets.

Director Paula Kalustian wants the fun and witty musical to allow audiences to believe “that magic will happen.” The musical perfectly balances tongue-in-cheek humor and the romance of Sondheim’s waltz-time score, brought to life in our production by a full orchestra.
