Progress Reports Issued Next Friday 10/14
Dear Parents/Guardians,
October marks the time our school sends the first nine week student progress reports. As you may recall from communication provided at the beginning of the year, elementary schools in Gwinnett County have moved to semester grade reporting similar to the schedule used by middle and high schools. First semester report cards will be sent home in January 2017. We understand the importance of frequent communication about grades and want to ensure you have the information you need about your child’s progress. Dyer will be reporting interim progress reports after the 9th and the 27th week of school (March 2017). These interim reports will be sent home in your child’s Friday Folder.
Current grades also can be accessed on the GCPS Parent Portal at any time during the school year. If you do not have access to the Parent Portal, please contact our office for assistance on steps you will need to take to obtain a portal token.
In addition, I would like to remind you to contact your child’s teacher—at any time during the school year— if you have any questions about your child’s academic progress. Working together, we can better support our students!
Sincerely,
Mr. DiFilippo
