The capital of Paraguay is Asuncion, an abundant city with lots to see and do. Some other major cities in the country are Salto and Pilar.
History
In 1524, Spain took control of Paraguay, which caused an almost 300 year struggle that was an influenced the Paraguayan War. Paraguay finally gained independence in 1811, and hasn't been controlled since.
Location and Political Info
It is located near the center of South America with plains, mountains, and heights up to 1000 feet. It has a Constitutional Rebublic and its leader is Horacio Cartes. It is also concentrated keeping on good terms with its neighboring countries.
Economic and Trade Info
It's currency is Paraguayan Guarani, and Paraguay uses it for its Market Economy system. They import petroleum, cars, computers, broadcasting equipment, and fertilizer. They import from the Market of the South. They export soybeans, bovine meat, corn, wheat, and soybean meal. They export to Brazil, Russia, Germany, Italy, and the U.S.
Tourist Info
People should visit Paraguay because of its beautiful green rolling hills, mountains, and rainforests. It is also very inexpensive. When you are there, you should catch a football game, or go to the Itaipu dam, one of the 7 wonders of the world. (PICTURED BELOW)
