Principal's Report
What a stunning end to the week we have had with this wonderful weather. I'm hoping it is the prelude to a long, hot Summer.
The senior school have now had their first week of swimming. A massive thank you to all our wonderful parents who have been able to come along and help during swimming, especially with the new restrictions of having to wear a mask at the pool. It certainly does add another level of uncomfortableness to the experience. The senior classes have one more week of swimming left, and then our junior classes begin their week of swimming.
After the 15th of November all parent helpers at school and at school based activities must have had their first vaccination. This includes the coaches of our sports teams. Thank you to the large number of parents who have already brought their vaccination information into school. Once we have it on record, you will not be asked to supply it again for future events. Please rest assured that this information will be kept confidential.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Ngā mihi nui,
Vicki Neave
Welcome!
JR McKenzie Youth Education Fund - supporting School Uniform purchase for 2022 newly enrolled Secondary Students
The JR McKenzie Youth Education Fund has a proud tradition of supporting families in need of financial assistance, with the purchasing of a school uniform.
As such, they are pleased to invite grant applications from suitable candidates. The closing date for applications is Friday 10 December 2021. Late applications will be considered on a case by case basis.
The criteria allows for applications from those students entering High School, College and Intermediate for the first time.
Applications will be considered for families requiring financial assistance, and in this regard, it must be signed by an independent sponsor before an application is returned to us. The sponsor should be an organisation that is familiar with the applicant’s circumstances (i.e. school, social service agency etc).
Applications outside the above criteria will not be considered.
Please ask at the office or email Mrs Neave if you would like a copy of the application form in confidence.
Grants can only be for the purchase of basic school clothing and footwear only [excluding roadshoes/runners/stationery/school bags].
Applications will be considered after December 10th and purchase orders will be sent to successful applicants before Xmas 2021.
