The Truth Log

Crush. Candy. Corpse., Sylvia, McNicoll

What really happened in the forty- first hour?

Sonja Started volunteering. One year later she was in court for being accused of manslaughter. Did she actually commit manslaughter? She found a lawyer to prove her innocent. Everyone is trying to find out what actually happened in the forty- first hour. While she is in court, in her head, she is giving the reader a back- story of what actually happened during those two volunteer hours. In her back- stories, the setting was at Paradise Manor; where she volunteered. Cole, Sonja, and Mrs. Demers, were important characters in the story. Well, what actually happened in the forty- first hour? Cole met with an accident, in one of Sonja's back- stories. Sonja was too sad to tell Mrs. Demers what happened to Cole so to make sure that she stayed happy, Sonja fed candies to Mrs. Demers when Mrs. Demers has diabetes. Turns out she was proven innocent and she was free to go. Sonja did not commit manslaughter. Guess what? Cole and Mrs. Demers are both alive!

Charcters:

Jam It Up!

[Verse]
What would I do without your smart mouth
Drawing me in, and you kicking me out
You got my head spinning, no kidding, I can't pin you down
What's going on in that beautiful mind
I'm on your magical mystery ride
And I'm so dizzy, don't know what hit me, but I'll be alright

[Bridge]
My head's underwater
But I'm breathing fine
You're crazy and I'm out of my mind

[Chorus]
'Cause all of me
Loves all of you
Love your curves and all your edges
All your perfect imperfections
Give your all to me
I'll give my all to you
You're my end and my beginning
Even when I lose I'm winning
Cause I give you all of me
And you give me all of you, oh

[Verse]
How many times do I have to tell you
Even when you're crying you're beautiful too
The world is beating you down, I'm around through every mood
You're my downfall, you're my muse
My worst distraction, my rhythm and blues
I can't stop singing, it's ringing in my head for you

[Bridge]
My head's underwater
But I'm breathing fine
You're crazy and I'm out of my mind

[Chorus]
'Cause all of me
Loves all of you
Love your curves and all your edges
All your perfect imperfections
Give your all to me
I'll give my all to you
You're my end and my beginning
Even when I lose I'm winning
Cause I give you all of me
And you give me all of you, oh
Give me all of you, oh oh

[Bridge]
Cards on the table, we're both showing hearts
Risking it all though it's hard

[Chorus]
Cause all of me
Loves all of you
Love your curves and all your edges
All your perfect imperfections
Give your all to me
I'll give my all to you
You're my end and my beginning
Even when I lose I'm winning
Cause I give you all of me
And you give me all of you

I give you all of me
And you give me all, of you, oh oh oh.

All of Me- John Legend

I chose the song "All of Me" by John Legend for "Crush. Candy. Corpse." This song matches this book because it has a slow pace and this book is slow and it doesn't have a lot of information given all at once. The song is quiet and also sounds a little bit sad. The story is a little bit sad because of the deaths or almost deaths that occur in the story. This is why I chose the song "All of Me" by John Legend.
