Week of September 28th
All Things EQ Weekly Motto
I am a productive team member.
Online Learning
To prepare for in person learning teachers will need time to set up their classrooms. Online learning will be asynchronous September 30th - October 2nd. There will be no small group instruction or office hours. Students will be expected to work through the lessons and assignments independently. All assignments, late work and quiz re-take are due by 3pm on Wednesday, September 30th.
Thank You

Math
I can't believe we are already on the last week of quarter 1, I'm so incredibly impressed with everyone's hard work and flexibility. It truly was a team effort. This week, we are continuing to multiply multi-digit numbers, and including decimals in our multiplication. During asynchronous learning each student will have a concept development video to watch, and they need to complete the corresponding exit ticket. Since there will be no live Zooms or office hours, students will just try their best and all content will be reviewed when live class resumes. As always, please reach out if you have any additional questions or concerns.
The students daily work to be completed is as followed:
- Wednesday September 30: Lesson 2.11 Concept Development and Exit Ticket
- Thursday October 1: Lesson 2.12 Concept Development and Exit Ticket
- Friday October 2: Module 2 Topic C Quiz & Dreambox

Science
In science our essential question is "What have I learned over the past quarter about the Sun, Moon, and stars?". This week we will explore black holes before we begin to review. Students will have a choice board to work on asynchronously Wednesday and Thursday where they will reflect on what they have learned this quarter. They will choose one activity to complete and submit. On Friday students will work asynchronously on a study guide to help them prepare for a unit assessment the first week we are back in the classroom. Remember that if students have missing assignments they have until 3pm on Wednesday, September 30th to turn them in for a grade. In science students also have two opportunities on each of our quizzes so if students want to improve their grade they can retake quizzes by Wednesday as well.
