Shakespeare Acting Experience
Us, as a class, got to have the opportunity to work with two theater instructors and act out roles for Romeo and Juliet. We did the following fun exercises such as; mirroring, practicing taking up the whole stage, and having five seconds to fulfill a role as a group. We also split into groups of around four and played out a scene in the first Act in Romeo and Juliet.
Hike to Mt. Pawtuckaway
Taking a Hike
On Tuesday, May 28, 2013 the freshman class boarded buses and went to hike Mt. Pawtuckaway. When we got there we started our hike and climbed to the top. When we reached our destination we ate lunch and talked with friends. Then, we began our journey down. When we arrived at the bottom, some people played frisbee while waiting for everyone to come down.

New Unit
This month we got our new unit. The essential question is how have man's ideas about himself and his place within his environment shaped the world around him? We received a new book called Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer. We have started reading through chapter 11 so far. We have to add sticky notes of important things having to do with character, theme, and plot.
